Star Wars Outlaws Review

Review | By Scoundrel on August 25, 2026 | Game: Star Wars Outlaws

Massive Entertainment attempts to capture the ultimate scoundrel fantasy in the first truly open-world Star Wars game. But does Kay Vess's journey hold up?

Gameplay & Mechanics

Outlaws excels when it leans into its reputation system. Juggling alliances with the Pykes, Crimson Dawn, and the Hutts feels dynamic. However, the forced stealth sections are archaic, often resulting in instant-fail states that frustrate rather than challenge.

Graphics & Sound

The Snowdrop engine renders the Outer Rim beautifully. Riding your speeder bike across the plains of Toshara is breathtaking, and the cantinas are packed with authentic alien life.

The Verdict

Despite some dated stealth mechanics, Outlaws successfully delivers on the promise of letting you live the life of a galactic smuggler.

  • Pros: Excellent reputation system, beautiful open worlds, Nix is an incredible companion.
  • Cons: Frustrating instant-fail stealth, repetitive side missions.

Final Score: 8/10
