Struggling to figure out where to go next in the massive Realm of Shadow? The expansion map is highly non-linear, which means it is incredibly easy to stumble into a boss fight you are severely under-leveled for. We've mapped out the optimal progression route.

The Optimal Boss Route

Following this path ensures you gather enough Scadutree Fragments naturally without hitting major difficulty walls.

• 1. Divine Beast Dancing Lion: Located in Belurat. A fantastic first major boss to test your build.
• 2. Rellana, Twin Moon Knight: Found at Castle Ensis. She acts as the major gatekeeper to the Scadu Altus region.
• 3. Golden Hippopotamus: The aggressive guardian at the entrance to the Shadow Keep.
• 4. Messmer the Impaler: The poster boy of the DLC, located at the very top of the Shadow Keep.

Exploration Tips

Do not attempt to fight Messmer until your Scadutree Blessing is at least level 10. If you are struggling, turn around and explore the Cerulean Coast to the south for additional fragments and spirit ash upgrades.
